What’s Included When a Crew Packs for You
A packer arrives with the materials already on the truck, works room by room, and labels each box by the room it belongs in at the new place rather than the one it left. That is what makes unpacking bearable at the other end.
Glass, ceramics and electronics get paper, cell dividers and double-walled cartons. Nothing is packed loose to save a box.

It Is Faster Than You Think
Two packers will clear an average kitchen in about three hours, cupboards and all. Doing the same job yourself after work usually swallows three or four evenings, and the boxes end up heavier than they should be.
Properly Packed Things Do Not Break
Most damage on a move happens inside a badly filled box, not on the truck. Plates travel on edge in dish packs, glasses sit in cell dividers, and every gap gets filled so nothing shifts when the box is picked up.

Boxes are marked for the room they are going to, not the room they came from. Your new kitchen boxes go to the kitchen, and you are not opening nine cartons looking for the kettle.

How a Packing Job Runs
1. Walkthrough. We count rooms, cupboards and the things that need crates rather than cartons.
2. Scope and hourly rate. Full pack, partial pack or fragile-only, with how many packers and roughly how long.
3. Packing day. Usually the day before the move, so nothing is rushed while a truck waits outside.
4. Load and unpack. Boxes go on the truck in room order, and we can unpack and clear the empties at the other end.
Materials That Come With The Crew
Small, medium and large cartons, dish packs with cell dividers, wardrobe boxes, mirror and artwork cartons, packing paper, bubble wrap, foam pouches, stretch film, tape and markers.
Custom wooden crates are available for artwork, stone tops, lab equipment and anything else that should not travel in cardboard.
Timing and How Far Ahead to Book
Most packing happens the day before the move. Larger houses run across two days, and offices are usually packed after hours so nobody loses a working day.
Three to four weeks ahead is comfortable at month-end. If your move is inside a fortnight, call rather than email — we can often slot packing in even when the moving crews are tight.
Packing Service FAQs
How much do packing services cost in Vancouver?
Packing is charged by the hour, like the move itself, plus the materials actually used. A one-bedroom fragile-only pack might be two packers for half a day; a full four-bedroom house is usually three packers across a full day, sometimes two. You get the rate and an hour range after the walkthrough.
Can I pack some of it myself?
Most people do. Clothes, books and linen are easy to box yourself, and the kitchen, the glass and the electronics are where a crew earns its money. Tell us what you plan to handle and we will scope around it.
Do you pack the day of the move or the day before?
The day before, almost always. Packing and loading on the same morning turns into a scramble, and the truck ends up waiting. Small apartments are the exception and can often be packed and loaded together.
Will you unpack at the new place too?
Yes, either the same day or on a return visit once you have decided where things live. We open the boxes, put the contents on surfaces and in cupboards, then flatten and remove the empties.
What about things that will not fit in a box?
Artwork, mirrors, stone counters, lab equipment and sculpture get custom wooden crates built to size. Tell us at the walkthrough and the crate is ready before packing day.
Do you provide the boxes, or do I buy them?
We bring everything with the crew and bill for what gets used. If you would rather pack yourself, we can drop off cartons, paper and tape in advance, and plastic crates are free on two-bedroom moves and larger.
