Office Movers Who Finish Before Monday Morning
Workstations, Server Rooms and Boardrooms Relocated Across Metro Vancouver
The measure of an office move is not how fast the truck was loaded. It is whether your staff sat down on Monday, plugged in, and got on with work. Everything else — the labelling, the crate numbering, the elevator booking — exists to make that happen.
Moving offices in downtown Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, the North Shore, the Tri-Cities and out through Langley and Abbotsford.

What Is In Your Office?
Every office move is the same eight or nine problems in a different order. These are the ones that decide how long it takes.
Workstations & Benching
Desks, screens and height-adjustable frames broken down and rebuilt to the new plan.
Server Rooms & IT
Racks, switches and servers crated separately, moved on your IT team’s window.
Boardrooms & Reception
Conference tables, AV, signage and the furniture clients actually see.
Filing & Storage Walls
Cabinets moved loaded where the floor allows it, emptied and numbered where it does not.
Staff Crate Programme
Crates out a week early, one per desk, numbered so nobody loses a drawer.
Phased Floor Moves
Half the business working while the other half relocates, then swap.

What an Office Move Includes
The work that matters happens before move night. A coordinator walks both floors, counts workstations, measures the goods lift and the doorways, and builds a numbering plan from your new floor plan so every crate has a destination before it is packed.
On the night itself the crew is executing a plan rather than solving problems in a stairwell at eleven o’clock.
- Both floors walked — workstation count, lift dimensions and access noted before anything is quoted.
- Numbering from your floor plan — desk 14 packs into crates marked for desk 14.
- Free plastic crates — delivered a week out so staff pack their own desks in advance.
- Furniture broken down and rebuilt — desks, benching, screens and storage walls.
- IT crated separately — monitors, docks and servers boxed apart from furniture.
- Building coordination — lifts, loading bays and certificates of insurance at both ends.
- After-hours crews — evenings, weekends and holidays at the rate you agreed.
Why Offices Book Us for the Weekend
Monday Morning Is the Deadline
Everything is scheduled backwards from the hour your staff walk in. That usually means loading on Friday evening and setting up through Saturday, with Sunday held in reserve for the things that always take longer than planned.
Crates Go Out Before the Crew Does
Staff pack their own desks into numbered crates over the week before, half an hour at a time. It costs nothing, it is far more accurate than a stranger packing someone’s drawers, and it takes hours off the move itself.
The Goods Lift Is the Bottleneck
Downtown buildings allocate service lifts in defined windows and book them weeks ahead. We deal with both property managers, secure the windows and send the certificates of insurance they ask for.
IT Moves on Its Own Track
Servers, switches and monitors are crated apart from furniture and scheduled around your shutdown and reconnection windows. We move the hardware; your IT provider handles the network. Trying to do both at once is how a Monday gets lost.
The Rate Does Not Change After Hours
Evening, weekend and statutory-holiday crews are billed at the hourly rate you agreed. There is no out-of-hours multiplier appearing on the invoice, which is the point of quoting it that way.
Placed to Plan, Not to a Pile
Furniture is rebuilt in position from your floor plan and crates land at the desk they were numbered for. A walkthrough with your office manager happens before the crew leaves the building.

Office Movers Across Metro Vancouver
How an Office Move Runs
1. Walkthrough, both floors. Workstations counted, lifts measured, the new floor plan collected.
2. Crew plan and hourly rate. Crew size, truck count, the hours it should take and the rate per hour.
3. Crates out early. Delivered a week ahead so staff pack their own desks rather than losing a working day.
4. Move night and setup. Loaded, delivered, rebuilt and placed to plan, with a walkthrough before we leave.
What the Crew Brings
Plastic crates and lids, monitor and dock boxes, IT cages, panel and library carts, four-wheel dollies, moving blankets, shrink wrap, floor runners and door-frame protection.
Tools for benching, height-adjustable desks and storage walls come as standard. Anything needing a rigger, a lift or a crane is flagged at the walkthrough rather than discovered on the night.
Timing, Buildings and Downtime
Most offices under forty staff move on a Friday night or across a Saturday and are working normally on Monday. Larger floors are phased across two weekends so half the business is always operating.
Book four to eight weeks out. The scarce resource is rarely the crew — it is the goods lift, which downtown buildings allocate weeks ahead and only in defined windows.
Office Moving FAQs
How long does an office move take?
A ten-person office is usually an evening. Twenty to forty staff is typically a Friday night and a Saturday. Above that, or across multiple floors, we phase it over two weekends so part of the business stays operational throughout.
How much does it cost to move an office in Vancouver?
It is billed at an hourly rate, so the total follows crew size and hours. Those come from the walkthrough: workstation count, how far the truck parks from the lift, and whether the new floor is ready. You get the rate and a realistic hour range before booking.
Do we need to empty the filing cabinets?
Often not. Where the lift and the floor loading allow it, cabinets move loaded on skates, which saves hours. Where they do not, contents go into numbered crates in drawer order so nothing is refiled from scratch.
Can you move us over a weekend so we do not lose a day?
That is how most of these run. Friday evening load, Saturday setup, Sunday spare. Staff arrive Monday to desks that are already built and crates at the right workstation.
Who handles disconnecting and reconnecting the computers?
Your IT provider or internal team, working to a window we agree in advance. We crate and transport the hardware and can unbox and place it at the new desks, but we do not touch network configuration.
How far ahead should we book?
Four to eight weeks for anything over ten staff. The constraint is rarely our crew, it is the goods lift at one end or the other, and downtown buildings allocate those well in advance.
