How much do you know about your new neighbours? An article by Secure Moving LTD

Neighbourhood has changed over the years. Those time in the past are gone that neighbours take a piece of cake or food dish over to the new folks next door. However, building relationships with neighbours can prove to be quite beneficial, especially if you have kids or live on your own. Most of us like knowing who lives by us. It feels like when we are closed with our neighbours, we can look out for each other.

Whether you’re the newbie in town or are living next to the newbie,  Secure Moving LTD has provided you some ways to start the foundation of a great relationship with your neighbours.

  • Introduce yourself. A small enjoyable thing does leave a lasting impression upon the new addition to the neighbourhood. Give the new neighbours your phone number.
  • Smile and say hello. Smiling can be a simple way of making contact with our neighbours. We love to go for walks up and down our street and always make a concerted effort to be friendly to our neighbours. Have you ever had a neighbour that never makes eye contact with you? We have all had one of those, so try not to be one yourself.
  • Perhaps some of you are interested in planting trees, picking up trash, starting a neighbourhood garden full of fresh produce, etc. – whatever the preference, a group working towards a common passion is capable of building strong friendships within your neighbourhood. Start a community group. create something members of your neighbourhood will want to join like: neighbourhood sports team, babysitting schedule, watch team and etc.
  •  Consider sharing tools with others. you could create a group for the guys on the block where you all share your tools with each other; this saves money, as it will prevent everyone from buying the same tool to get the job done. Be mindful if you borrow anything. Return the item immediately after using it. If you break the item, pay to fix it or replace it.
  • Offer to watch your neighbour’s pets or pick up their mail while they are away.
  • Being a Good Neighbour. Observe and respect your neighbour’s personal space.
  • Not everyone is a dog or cat lover, so show responsibility for your pets. Keep them off the neighbour’s lawn.
  • If you have an issue with a neighbour, go directly to that person and discuss it in an adult manner.

The advantages of having neighbours are people that will help you when you need. Being a good neighbour means to consider some points over time and at the same time preventing the misunderstandings to arise. So it costs you time and energy to manage a good relation with your neighbours, but is worthy to have this good relationship with them.

How to Pack Children’s Toys for a Moving?

As a parent, you definitely know that toys develop children’s imagination and creativity, help kids better envisage and understand the world. What matters is to understand that Children’s Toys play a very important role in the world of a child and, therefore, should be taken proper care of under any circumstances. Children are rightfully attached to their favourite possession and some toys mean a lot to them.

The good news from Secure Moving LTD is that there are some delicate points to help you by packing your Children’s Toys & to boost your energy to have a more powerful drive toward accomplishing the task as good as possible.

  • Letting your kids choose which toys they want to stay out of the boxes during the moving process gives them some degree of control but also defines what toys will be packed away.
  • Pack your kid’s room last if they are small (ages five years and under).
  • Help your kids with packing and it is also a good time to talk about moving and their feeling about leaving friends, school and etc. This will offer them a comfortable feeling to ease the moving and transition process.
  • There’s nothing worse than opening a box in your new home and immediately seeing the dust particles exit the box and float around. Cleaning the toys will prevent this and save you a task after the move.
  • Pack all items in appropriate boxes and have your kids seal the boxes and write their names or let them decorate their boxes.
  • Drain water from squirt guns and put very small toys and accessories in sealable plastic bags to keep them from getting lost.
  • Stuffed animals and other plush toys are easy to pack as they are not breakable and will most certainly survive the relocation intact. it is a good idea to put them in large plastic bags.
  • Place larger toys directly in the box. This includes toy trucks, board games, action figures, and other toys that get a lot of playtime. Once the larger items are in the box, place the small toy bundles into the box, too.
  • Toys these days can be very expensive and delicate. Depending on how fragile the toy is you can use either newspaper or bubble wrap to protect the toy during transit.
  • Finally, use tape to secure the top and bottom of the boxes and label the box appropriately. If the boxes contain fragile toys, makes sure to label the box fragile as well.
